ExtraSchicht 2024 in Essen was an unforgettable celebration of art, history, and light. This year, Margarethenhöhe, one of Germany’s most significant garden city settlements, was transformed into a luminous masterpiece, captivating thousands of visitors with its mesmerizing 3D light show. Pronorm was proud to play a crucial role in this visual spectacle by providing cutting-edge projection technology that brought the event to life.
The centerpiece of ExtraSchicht was the 20-minute 3D video mapping at the Kleinen Markt. This stunning display took spectators on a journey through the history of Margarethenhöhe, highlighting the industrial heritage of Essen and the Krupp family, while also offering a glimpse into the future. The projections were so compelling that many visitors found it hard to tear themselves away, returning again and again to watch the show unfold.
Pronorm’s technical expertise was at the heart of this extraordinary event. For this project we utilized the following:
- 4x 21000 WU Digital Projectors,
- 4K Performer Vioso,
- Kramer Matrix
Each element was meticulously calibrated to ensure that the projections perfectly complemented the architecture and atmosphere of the historic site.
Working closely with Essen Marketing, the organizers of ExtraSchicht, Pronorm ensured that every detail of the light show was executed flawlessly. The result was a breathtaking visual experience that not only entertained but also educated visitors about the rich cultural and industrial history of the region.
ExtraSchicht 2024 was more than just a festival; it was a celebration of Essen’s past, present, and future, brought to life through the magic of light and projection. Pronorm is honored to have been a part of this iconic event, contributing to an experience that left a lasting impression on all who attended.
